Surrender in Motion✨
I had been planning to visit the flower farms for days. It’s a place I find myself returning to every spring, but I didn't realize that this time I was going to witness something much greater than just a field of blooms. Looking back, I think the universe was waiting for me there, ready to teach me a lesson I didn't know I needed.
It was one of those perfect spring days, the sun was shiny, the breeze was cool, and you could just feel the summer starting to peek through.
Sometimes, I feel like our lives get so loud that we forget how to be calm. We rush around trying to find solutions, struggling against our circumstances, and we end up losing our peace in the process. But as I stood there, I just looked at the flowers. They were dancing with the breeze as if they already knew its rhythm by heart. They didn't make themselves stiff. It was as if they knew instinctively that if they stood rigid, they would simply break.
It made me realize how much I’ve been confusing strength with stillness.
We’ve been taught that being strong means standing rigid against the storm, clenching our jaws, and holding our breath until the pressure passes. We think if we don’t move, we won't break. But to move with the wind is actually the ultimate act of acceptance.
It’s the moment you stop trying to negotiate with the gusts, the timing that never quite worked out, the sudden changes, or those heavy "almosts" that we carry around like stones. We spend so much energy trying to stay upright in a world that is constantly shifting. But when we stop resisting, we actually stop breaking. In that movement, there is a profound blessing. You start to realize that the very force meant to shake you is actually the one teaching you how to dance.
I’ll be honest: for me, that is the hardest part to act upon. It’s one thing to see it in a flower; it’s another to live it when you’re in the middle of the gale.
But there is so much power in realizing the beauty of Surrender in Motion. It’s the understanding that the Supreme’s will is better for you than your own plans. He just wants you to dance in His motion, even when you’re in the middle of trouble. When you have that sense of His presence, everything becomes calmer. Better. Beautiful.
Maybe we are all just wildflowers in a cosmic field. We spend so much of our lives worrying about which direction the wind is blowing, completely forgetting that we were made to move. We were never meant to be statues in a garden; we were meant to be part of the motion.
Surrender isn't about giving up or losing the fight, it’s about finally being free enough to dance. It’s the sign of a soul that is finally in sync with the Divine.
If you are feeling the wind today, don't stiffen. Don't fight to stay still. Trust the roots He gave you, and just... move✨.
